Sherman's library, reimagined

Come by for a look at all that's new for library patrons!

Sherman's Library Services Administrator, MeLissa Eason, shared her thoughts on the Grand Reopening of Sherman's Public Library:

"Monday, August 13th was a special day for Sherman. The newly renovated Sherman Public Library, located in downtown Sherman at 421 N Travis Street, re-opened its doors to the public after a year of extensive renovation. The rebuilt space has all new energy efficient lighting, heating and air system, and comfortable, modern furnishings - but it represents much more than the building improvements. With the collection of books, audiobooks, DVDs, newspapers, computers, and online materials, you can find just about everything you need to know to succeed in your personal and professional pursuits. Various programs for children and adults are offered throughout the year such as Story Times, Summer Reading Club, craft classes, puppet shows, Authorfest, book reviews, and guest speakers. There is a comfortable area for families with young children, offering a Lego table, kitchen set, and children's computers. Meeting space is available at a nominal charge for patrons who would like to host a program open to the public and educational in nature. To discover the resources and services available to you, we welcome you to come and visit!"
