Sherman Community Players is the third oldest community theater in the state of Texas. The Players will celebrate their 77th consecutive  season in 2025-2026! (The original Sherman Little Theater paused during World War II). SCP presents 8 shows each season, starting in September and ending with a large-scale musical in June. Three of the productions are cast by the Theatricks Children's Theater program. An additional special production is held each August as a fundraiser and to launch the coming season. Shows are staged in either the historic Finley Playhouse - a traditional stage with auditorium seating - or the Honey McGee Playhouse, a black box theater with seating in the round.
